Showreel

Meet Studio Sekoia.

A multi-disciplinary creative studio dedicated to the craft of visual storytelling. From the first spark of an idea to the final frame, we provide full-service production.

Points of Interest // Episode 02: The Grimaldi Service

"Given the current situation, isn’t it good to have something to laugh about?"

Every year, clowns from across the country gather to honor the "Father of Clowning," Joseph Grimaldi. We spent the day with them to understand the weight behind the makeup and what it means to dedicate a life to the craft of laughter.

Featuring the clowns of the Grimaldi Service.

Norse Projects // AW25 Campaign Studies

For the AW25 collection, we stripped back the context to focus purely on the architecture of the garment - treating technical fabric as a sculptural medium.

Brain Dead x Mount Kimbie // Sunset Violent

We looked at the Sunset Violent cover and wondered where that car is now.

A study in mechanical decay, saturated tones, and the afterlife of the album’s visual identity.

Points of Interest // Episode 01: WLMAC

"There’s not a lot of you that stays on the ground."

The first in a series of micro-documentaries exploring the esoteric, the obsessive, and the subcultures thriving in the margins. We start in West London, looking up.

Featuring the West London Model Aircraft Club. A series by Otis Tree for Studio Sekoia.

Pioneer DJ // At Home with: Tara Kumar

Part of a Mini-series produced for Pioneer DJ & DMY Magazine following DJ and Radio Presenter Tara Kumar

SLURP

Anti-advertising video for Slurp Magazine.

We hit the streets and asked people what they hate about it. They didn’t hold back.

Short Films

Big Smoke

Set on Winter Solstice; we follow two absent minded stoners just trying to get high.

As their anxieties begin to manifest, the two become a part of an ancient ritual that will change everything.

Destructors

Destructors is a story of decay.

Inspired by Graham Greene’s short ‘The Destructors’; this is a modern interpretation following a group of friends growing up on the south coast of England.

Destructors premiered at Vancouver International Film Festival as part of the ‘release me from this darkness’ screening in 2020. It has since gone on to screen in London, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Paris, winning the emerging talent award at CineCity in Brighton.

Destructors was filmed in the week leading up to total lock down in the UK.

Our film was changed dramatically by the Covid-19 Pandemic, this short documentary captures the trials and tribulations we experienced during the shoot.
